THE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR NEW STUDENTS
New Students can start lessons at any time if space is avaliable. Students with prior music instruction are encouraged to audition. Beginners are provided a complimentary evaluation and personal interview. If you have questions about our school or wish to schedule an audition time, please contact Matthew Loudermilk.
SCHEDULE
We are using Conservatoire Style Scheduling, like all world class music institutions. Based on your interview or audition you will be placed with a teacher who will be able to meet your musical needs and accomodate your schedule. You will work with the same teacher from semester to semester.
TUITION AND LESSON POLICIES
To help everyone have a great experience at our school, we developed easy and convenient policies for students and teachers.
*Recurring monthly payments. Payment is made by pre-authorized credit/debit cards, or by recurring bank account withdrawals on the first of each month. If new students start mid-month, tuition will be prorated for the first month. All other payments are not prorated.
*Our school year calendar correlates with the HISD calendar. Fall semester begins in late August and lasts until winter break in late December, with a week off for Thanksgiving. Spring semester starts in early January and ends at the end of May, with a week off for spring break. Check our school calendar for exact dates.
*Flexible summer lessons. Summer is a great time to make progress in music. Most of our students take lessons all summer. Students are automatically enrolled for ten summer lessons, but summer lessons are refundable. If you end up taking fewer than ten summer lessons, you will receive credit towards September tuition. Additional summer lessons can be added and 24-hour advance notice is required to cancel a lesson.
*No long term contract. Students can start and stop lessons at any time. Students can stop lessons at any time by notifying us in writing 30 days before your final month of lessons start.
*Two make ups each semester. There are two make ups each semester with a 24 hour notice, the tuition amount will not be prorated. All of our teachers are performing artists and will occasionally have a schedule conflict. In this case, we will provide a substitute teacher or a make-up lesson.
