Congratulaations to Maria Loudermilk and Saya Takahashi, who performed at the Carnegie Hall for Chopin Society of Texas Anniversary Concert, as the Grand Prize winners of the Sonatina and Sonata piano competition hosted by the Chopin Soceity.
Congratulations to Hiram Zhou, Nealan & Anjali Thevananther got the 1st Prize; Ryianisila Kondam got 2nd Prize: and Eesha Kondam got 3rd Prize at American Protégé Music Competitions!

We had a fantastic showing at the HMTA Baroque Competition! Congratulations to Nealan, Saya, Aidan, Celeste, and Sasha who won awards at the competition, and congratulations to all of our wonderful students who performed!

Congratulations to Biyun, Angali and Audrey, who competed at the MTNA. They prepared a 30 min program and performed it with ease and command for one of the most prestigious competitions in America!
Biyun earned an honorable mention in Junior High category and Aundrey and Anjali got an honorable mention in the senior duet category.
2023-2024
We have a pair of winners from the Open Sonority International Instrumental competition at the Houston Kawaii Gallery in May 2024! Congratulations to Third Prize Winner Hiram Zhou, and First Prize winner Ellen Dai! We are so incredibly proud of you both
Hanna won Honorable Mention at the A&M Commerce Sonata/Sonatina Competition. We are so proud of you Hannah. Keep up the great work!
Another shining moment for our very own, Ellen! She was chosen as a FIRST PRIZE WINNER at the 2024 International Music Competition "Vienna" Grand Prize Virtuoso. She has been invited to perform at the Gläserner Saal, Musikverein in April. Congratulations Ellen. You are amazing and we are so proud of you!
We had a successful competition weekend! IMA students received prizes in every category from 7 to 13. Our students are so very talented and we love that they are making it known!
*Zhang and Elias won 1st prize in the 8 and 9 year old category. *Jerry, Maria, Audrey won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in the 11 year old category. *Nora won 1st prize in the 12 year old category. *Saya, Heidi and Derry won1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in the 7 year old category. *Lydia won 2nd prize in the 6 year old category. *Leah won 1st prize in the 13 year old category
IMA students competed in the American Protege International Piano and Strings Competition. Tinting placed 1st in the high school division, Ellen placed 2nd in the high school division, and Nora placed 2nd in the junior division. They will have the opporunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in June. What an exciting accomplisment!! We are so proud of each of you.
Several IMA students participated in the Houston Music Teachers Association Music Festival on Saturday, February 3. Congratulations to Karis, Aarzan, Armaan, Sarina, Celeste, Sophia, Hannah, Vivian, Meske, Julia, Lara, Kavya, Arkady, and Nealan. These students will also be able to participate in the TMTA Convention All Star Festival. We are so proud of each of you!
IMA students competed at the Blinn Young Pianist competition at took home several accolades. Biyun Jia placed 1st for 6th grade and Grand Prize winner runner-up, Olivia He placed 3rd and Wendy Zhou received Honorable Mention.
2022-2023
Alexandra Wong performed at the 2023 Winners' Recital and Award Ceremony in Toronto, Canada, after winning 2nd Place at Pulsar Music's Rocky Mountain Music Competition, Advanced Keyboard Junior category.
Congratulations to IMA students that participated in the HMTA All Star-Festival!
We recognize silver medalist Vivian Gutierrez and gold medalists Lara Ibrahim, Hannah (Jiayue) Li, Evelyn Meeks, Karis Meeks, & Reis Sarikaya. This earned each student the opportunity to perform at the TMTA Convention in Waco in Summer 2023.
Our young music theorists took home medals as well! Peyton Ho won a silver medal while Mishal Shamsi & Avery Ho each won gold medals!
We are so proud of Audrey Huang who received First Place in the Brilliance in Music Award!

Based in Toronto, Red Maple Music Competition supports musicians of different ages and expertise and helps them be recognized on an international level by building a worldwide awareness of their accomplishments and providing a live performance platform
