Yuda JiangPiano

YUDA JIANG

Yuda Jiang is a pianist and educator currently pursuing the Doctor of
Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of Houston.
Originally from Guangxi, China, he has performed solo recitals in both China
and the United States, including appearances as the first high school soloist
at the Concert Hall of Guangxi, performances at the Culture & Arts Center of
Guangxi, UCLA, and the University of Houston, etc. His performances have
been presented in cities including Nanning, Foshan, Tianjin, Yulin, Los
Angeles, and Houston.

Yuda earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Houston
and his Master of Music degree from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
Throughout his studies, he has received numerous competitive scholarships
and awards, including the UCLA Recruitment Enhancement Award, the
Bowdoin International Music Festival Scholarship, and the University of
Houston Full Coverage Graduate Tuition Fellowship. He was also awarded a
silver prize in the National Professional Skill Competitions (Keyboard group)
of China at a young age.

In addition to solo performance, Yuda has extensive experience as a
collaborative pianist, working with ensembles, competitions, and summer
music programs. He has participated in programs such as the Bowdoin
International Music Festival and has served as accompanist for the University

of Houston Wind Ensemble, C’est Bon Music Academy Summer Camp, and
the Katy Young Artist Contest.

As a teacher, Yuda has worked with students of various ages and levels
through private instruction and university teaching assistantships. His
teaching emphasizes healthy piano technique, musical expression, and
efficient practice methods. He has studied with distinguished pianists and
pedagogues, including Inna Faliks, Nancy Weems, Andrew Staupe, and Tali
Morgulis.
